  1. Wow, you do have some mad talents!! Even if you did not shoot all of the photos; finding them and putting them together like that is amazing. I really love your style. I have actually called my wife over to look at each of your blogs. Maybe I’m hoping you rub off a little on her. Wait…that sounded really, really horrible.

  2. Not so terrible if you’re sharing! My hope with this blog is to inspire and spark the imagination by viewing the world around us and from within!
Thank you so much for your generous comments…I’m humbled and grateful!

  3. Ok, that seals it! The master bath will be aqua! (rubbing hands together)

  4. And the wonders of Aqua continue…
Lovely pick of images Vicki- I just love the series with wooden boxes, the old truck and the mailboxes.

And now that I see these visuals you have picked from the world around us, I realize that I don’t see so much Aqua in the world around me. Is it just because I am in NYC or is it true in general?

    • Beautiful Shipra,
In the book “The Art of Hunger” by Paul Aster he writes of the poet John Ashbery….
“John Ashbery is a poet who speaks to us intimately from an almost suffocating nearness; we recognize his world as ours, and his language is that of our everyday experience. Yet few poets writing today have such an uncanny ability to undermine our certainties, to articulate so fully the ambiguous zones of our consciousness. We are constantly thrown off guard as we read his work, and because we are lulled by the flatness and familiarity of his tone, our sense of dislocation is all the more troubling. The ordinary becomes strange, and things that a moment ago seemed clear are suddenly cast into doubt. Everything remains in place and yet nothing is the same”.

So to answer your question….it is not “just” because you are in NYC…that is merely your horizon…. it is because you are a poet!

It is no surprise to me that you gave rise to something recognizably unvexed in those given photos. It was a superlative choice, it was inevitable! I believe it is our nature to admire stalwart survivability! It is a gravitational pull towards solace of heart that undergird our frailties….. I too loved the tro!

So the Aqua continues into mist….

      • Vicki…Perhaps what draws us together is the Passion. Yes, not one passion or two passions or many, but passion in general.
Mine is subdued a bit. I have until now, tended to keep it under wraps. Tried to mingle in the background, whether it was an Aqua or not.
You on the other hand, shone like a bright star, and I saw it the first time you glided on my pages. You give me the courage to shine too.

I will follow the Aqua into the mist…wherever it takes me. If she relents, I will bring some of her back home.

  5. My instincts tell me our “chance” meeting was providential and our shared “Passion” confirms (in my mind) we are perhaps traveling on the same road.
Ahhhhh fellow sojourners …there is nothing sweeter.

No more background mingling for you ….exaltation is your new rationale!!!

So glad we met…so glad we are friends!

  6. Love the aqua. You have some wonderful stuff here.
