399014916_34355182b5“Jane Eyre” is a very special book for me… it was my first novel I read as a child!  Today if someone  asked me what my favorite book of all time is, Jane Eyre would come to mind!  What is your favorite book?

“If all the world hated you and believed you wicked, while your own conscience approved of you and absolved you from guilt, you would not be without friends.”

    English novelist (1816 – 1855)

  2. My, you are goddamn prolific Vicki, and I am envying your pace!! 3 posts in a day?!

    Jane Eyre? Woof!:)

  3. I’m reading Jane Eyre right now, for the very first time. I can easily see how it is your favorite book. On top of being a wonderful story, there are so many fantastic lines in it. From a page I just read:

“‘Who in the world cares for you? or who will be injured by what you do?’
Still indomitable was the reply – ‘I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more unsustained I am, the more I will respect myself.’”

    • I couldn’t agree with you more…so many great lines! So glad you’re reading Jane Eyre….I think everyone should read it at least once !

Thank you so much for stopping by ! Happy reading!

  4. I have to admit that I haven’t read it, but I will!

  5. Wow, favorite book is tough! Even a top 10 list would be tough. There are too many. If I had to pick one and only one I guess that it would be ‘The Talisman’ by King. It was the first long book I ever read. I was 10 and it took me a little while. I do keep going back to it after all these years so…

I read “Atlas Shrugged” many years ago. Took me forever…but I did it! Ayn Rand had an unbelievable mind and point of view to consider!
