Of all the delightful changes summer provides , Daisies are one of the most seasonally cheerful of them all ! These days no matter where I walk or drive, our streets and highways are lined with daisies! Its fantastic! This sturdy , happy little flower has turned our city into one giant collective meadow.
Roadside Beauties!!!!
These hand picked daisies will cheer up any room in your house !
“Sloop where thou wilt, thy careless hand some random bud will meet, Thou canst no tread, but thou wilt find the Daisy at thy feet” Thomas Hood
Daisies are serious sun seekers !
“The earth laughs in flowers” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Here’s a Daisy for you…hope you have a wonderful sun shiny day!
Thanks Vicki, I have had a wonderful sun shiny day! I spent the day at the pool! I hope you do as well!!
ahhhh the pool , sounds lovely! Thank you hun, I’m havin a good day too! Hugs!
Beautiful, Vicki. They make me breath deeply and want to be outside in the cool, sunny air.
When the temperature drops below 100, I’m there.
Thank you Pamela! Aren’t daisies wonderful?
Hope it cools off so you can go outside and “breath deeply” !!! Hugs!
There you go! The golden girl from a mountainside. I’m getting more and more accustomed to your language now.
A child’s feet and almost snow. But even more intrigue, window side. Is that tempting steam or a year’s long dust? And of either, what story lingers just within? I always like old buildings that way.
Thank you Miss Vicki, your lovely eye!
“Golden girl from a mountainside” Wow, if you only knew how accurate that statement is… Especially since I’ve ALWAYS been a blonde up until a couple of years ago. My parents are begging me go back to the ole me….HeHe!
Besides hair color, girl from the mountainside really speaks to me…you do understand my language!
I prefer the “tempting steam” over “long dust” and stories that linger for generations…
And how did you know…my friends call me “Miss Vicki”?
Thank you Neil…good to have you drop by for a visit!
I’ll make some tea next time you’re around !
Two lumps please! I’m being polite. Maybe more.
And I finally recalled my favorite quotes from that movie, “Michael”. And my second favorite is, “You can never have too much sugar.”
Butter too, but that’s another movie, isn’t it.
Now dear, “blonde”, I’ll have to work on that! I’m already smitten with the face I know.
Sugar and Butter are the pathway to the joy of eating!!! If any woman says any different, she’s lying. Chocolate would have to be included in the mix as well… couple more ingredients and we’ll end up with yummy cookies!!!
Yes… I have always been the California blonde…but I wanted to see the other side and become a burnette! Turns out burnette’s have just as much fun!
Thank you for the compliment….here’s a properly executed curtsy that I hope Jane Austin would be proud of!!!!
What kind of tea do you like? I love English Breakfast or Green Tea!
When I’m polite, Japanese Green. But where I mostly land, my first ever I think taken from the hand of another friend, that rhyme of orange and sweet spice, my favored tea.
In honor of the moment in fact, a cup I’ve just brewed myself. Quickly in the still cool of dawn, before another ungainly day rolls in so hot as of late. So often, I miss Monterey. Gladly I’d share with you, discuss idyl things of family, small consequence but in meaning dear.
I’m not much the chef, although I can, but a kitchen I do love to share, a gathering place. Ah, there’s the first sip, just now cool enough.
And, as much the meal, the cup of tea, kindly conversation does comfort me, feel like home. And including, even if by proxy remote, by words like these. There are the many or few who love me well, even one who carries me in heart hour by hour, but no lesser regard engaged, this communion here, friend with friend.
Sometimes it is the slightest breeze that is just right and welcome, huh?
Please write a book , if you haven’t already?
You do have a gift with words and it should be shared !
Sorry you miss Monterey my friend…its definitely a beautiful place. And I sincerely hope the weather cools off so you can be comfortable!
Thanks for sharing that cup of tea and the visit around the kitchen table by “proxy”. Always enjoy a good visit!
It must be great to see all the cheery daisies while out and about. Great post!
Thanks Cup! Great to see you! And yes, the daisies are beautiful these days!
