Brings me right back to all of the autumns I’ve ever spent in New England… My family grew many of the squashes and gourds you have pictured here… I’ve walked amongst leaves like this, and collected those same acorns for my aunt, who made many a wreath in her day…
The colors up here have turned to a later autumn palate, much more subtle… Bronzes, coppers, deep metallic burgundys, and the pale golds that still remain… It actually is one of my favorite periods. While the brilliant autumn colors are what people remark about, these colors are much more peaceful and calm, much quieter…
Which is exactly what you have captured here, yet one more time, with that impeccable eye of yours…
Thanks for bring the beauty of late autumn to your page…
What beauty Vicki- these images are like paintings to me! The colors are so vivid, the shapes and patterns so interesting.
I wonder if Fall colors are like Nature’s last warm hug before the cold Winter begins…
The promise of last summer is gone, and the cool of winter is in view. The skies are turning grey and the people in the park are chilled both in their bodies and in their minds. Their only enjoyment is in the warm colours of nature.
Hi Vicki,
I was crawling around the blog world and came accross the blog in Finland…..the pics are great and the fact the site is in Finish and English is fun.
That’s the one and only thing I miss about living up north…the beautiful colors of fall. That may be the only time that I’ve ever seen an aqua (or is it teal?) pumpkin before. Amazing selection Vicki!!
Beautiful color palette Vicki!
Thank you Mr. Neil ! I’m allllll about color!!!
Nice to see you here !
Hugs
