Veteran’s Day

soldier-and-flagWarrior Creed

I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit.  I will never leave a fallen comrade.

Today more than ever and in light of the lingering grief and tragedy at  Fort Hood,  I think its very important to stop today to remember and reflect upon all those men and women throughout our history who have unselfishly answered the call to defend and preserve our  freedoms.  Today is not a political day,  it is simply a day to say thank you to all those who have served and are currently serving our country.  To them we owe  our support and gratitude.

This post is dedicated to my beloved husband who is a Combat Medic in the U.S Army.  He has been sent to Afghanistan once and Iraq four times.  He is currently serving in Iraq today.

You make me realise that the world is made up of thousands of sacrifices.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”

  2. Sean! God bless you and your tender heart! Thank you for joining us in remembering those who serve.
I also want you to know we are grateful to all those in Australia who have served honorably along side us!
As you can see from the photos…”Freedom isn’t Free”!

    Hugs to you my friend!

  3. Drums rolled and music boomed up 5th Ave today. Next door to where I work…and I took a 5 minute break to watch these soldiers go by. It is a sacrifice I can only imagine, but in due respect, I do salute the soldiers across the world. Deep in my heart, I wish there were none needed.

Many hugs to you. And the very best to your husband.

  4. Thank you Juicer! Yes, I agree! I wish in the deepest places of my heart that soldiers were not needed anywhere in the world. Its a sad fact , but the military is a necessity. I just appreciate those willing to serve!
And thank you for your kind words for my hubby!

    Love and Hugs!

  5. Yea, must take a very strong constitution to be, to serve, to act. I am in perpetual awe.
