  4. Dear friend Vicki, of course for you, bright glad days abundantly as we begin again, yet also even to include any moment’s doubt, darker nights, and know that love is, as it always is, your steadfast companion in hand. And too, your friends, as I am one, more bright for knowing you.

(With a twinkle, as he said, pardon, can’t resist a few flowers more to your door than a mere three words, HNY you know!)

    • I’m so honored and blessed that you are my new friend! You and your precious God-like Words always bless me and those around you!

Happy New Year 2 oh 1 oh

  7. My very best to you Vicki and hope this lovely blog of yours grows abundantly in 2010!

  8. Fourth day in, twenty and ten, a Monday now. Day off from work, so what else you’d guess I’m doing, yes, more poems of course. That and to come tie another bow upon your door my friend.

Poems are what I do because I do, what I want to do, unquestioned any more at all, and also true, a joy, a blemish (some told, some not), one edge where uncertainty also plays, and doubts are just that way, a full swing of pendulum I know full well, all of that, yet to my bones it is what I do because it is what I do. I don’t seem to stop! And glad for friends, what poems are not.

And I’ll hope yours is a perfect fourth!

    • Lori

Neil, are you a Billy Collins fan? Your voice and his have similarities.

      Lori

      • Yes and no. (How’s that for vague!) I like some of what he does. William Stafford is where I call home, although I don’t sound like him. Kay Ryan is a more contemporary poet I much admire. Thanks for asking Lori.
