Thanks Pamela and thanks for stopping by!
Hey, Happy Birthday!!
ahhhh i love it! and i love you :]
DP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy you dropped by! I love you too Sweetie! XOXOXO!!!!
Home again, home again. But where is that? West Coast certainly, but now there’s reason to think of both here, neither so far nor so close as I’d like, Monterey, and now too the Puget Sound, as home of some sorts.
Your images given us here, so broad of scope, so intimate, so evocative with threads like in the drawer of an old sewing machine – a tangle I appreciate wandering. So one project of mine is to use some of your images as seed to new poems to write. One maybe already done, transitional, I’m letting simmer a while till I feel more sure. I am working to write more oft than only as the mood arrives. Practice, practice!
Second that website I mentioned before I left is here,
http://www.americansouthwest.net/
One man who adores the desert country and its rich pallet of colors and shapes. He’s English too, if I recall, not even native but he has the eye. His collection of images is simply “vast”. Perhaps you might begin within his treatments of the “slot canyons” where water and stone conspire intensely and beautifully.
And as reading companion, try Craig Childs, naturalist, adventurer, desert ecologist, and specifically one book, “The Secret Knowledge of Water”. Powerful shared experiences in places many of us would neither expect nor easily survive. I hope, I think, you’ll be pleased.
Colors sing in many voices. These are a couple, and like yours as well, speak to both flesh and imagination.
Oh Neil, I’m so pleased to know that some of the images on my blog could inspire you in such a way as to write your beautiful words…how lovely is that?
Thank you for the website link. The photographs are beautiful . He has taken photos from my very own back yard (so to speak)!
I’m looking forward to your new poems….
Always nice to have you in my neighborhood!
Hugs!
Hello Vicki. Suppose I should ask if you got the email I sent. And please, my hope, if my style of word or phrase seemed anything other than cordial or welcome then understand, not at all my intent or thought. Sincere appreciation is my single and only meaning in mind. As you wish. My thanks.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving the nice comment….you’re welcome to drop-in any time.

Thanks Raven…I do love your photography! And you are always welcome here as well.
Hey Vicki! Remember we talked about “Abouts”, and then I bumped into this one here. His web content aside (although some impressive poetry), I’m meaning to point out the very casual yet engaging sort of “style” he employs. Maybe some useful for you, leastwise relative to the less formal aspects of what you might like to share.

But whatever, you know this place of yours is where I hang my hat every day!
Hi! Like your blog! It’s so colorful and inspiring! Found it through seanfraser.wordpress.com’s blogroll.
Hey Nadezhda!
So glad you found Corner Paint! Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you visit again!
Vicki,
Thank you for stopping by my poetry blog and your very gracious comments. I am very glad you found enjoyment in my poems and prose. I do like the works of Kipling however these lines from another poet are among my favorites: “A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread-and Thou Beside me singing in the Wilderness – O, Wilderness were Paradise enow!” I have looked at your blog site and find it joyful, lots of beauty here. I’m going to place a link on my site to yours under talent.
Regards,
Don
Thank you Don for your kind words ! You are always welcome in my neck of the woods!
All my very best to you!
Very well dear heart, just how might a person or an ol’bear happen upon your facebook, huh? (As per your last comment to me.) I do have a fb account; just don’t use the thing. And I did search through 160 of you’s, but no luck. Maybe we should all be truly unique – only one name just our own, everywhere and everywhen! Reply as you wish or my email too, wherever as suits. Thanks (you know who!) (Of course you do!)
