Nectarines and the Road to Morocco!

WholeFoods1BYesterday while shopping at my favorite grocery store Whole Foods,  I lingered a little longer than usual in the produce section (which also happens to be my favorite part of the store)  because I was on a mission of sorts to buy up some of the summer fruit before fall becomes firmly established here in the Rockies.  I was feeling a little anxious since I was already shopping in a sweater, scarf and raincoat!

nectarTo my surprise, there was a huge pile of fresh nectarines!   I immediately began cramming as many in the plastic bag as possible.  I was actually excited!  Not only was there an abundant supply,  but they were so beautiful in color! As a matter of fact, it was like looking at a gorgeous mosaic of fall colors, burnt red,  amber yellow and rustic orange.  It was a beautiful sight! So naturally I was feeling inspired, I began to think of the warm jewel tones of fall and then my thoughts went to a book I have at home,  “Moroccan Interiors”.  Yes, that’s what it felt like…. It felt and looked like the amazing colors of  Morocco!
